Participating in STING Climate Race

We have some exciting news to share with you — Sanitation360 has ben chosen as one of 21 Swedish climate tech startups to participate in STING’s (Stockholm’s Innovation & Growth) brand new Climate Race! The Climate Race is a six-week race to raise companies to the next level, with a special focus on investor readiness level and pitching.

On Wednesday Nov 6th, our market developer Nicola Parfitt participated in the first event of STING’s 2024 climate race at STING’s headquarters in Stockholm. It was a lot of fun to present Sanitation360’s urine recycling technology to a new audience who are now convinced that drinking beer made from barley fertilized with our granular, circular urine fertilizer, is actually quite a tempting idea — and actually seems very normal considering that the beer we all drink today is fertilized with animal feces.

The day consisted of interesting talks regarding investor readiness, building a strong team, a panel dicussion with two VC’s and two angels, pitching practice and fruitful discussions with other climate tech companies. You can find out more about STING’s Climate Race here: https://www.sting.co/sting-climate-race

It was very refreshing to be surrounded by people who wholeheartedly believe that having a positive climate impact is more important than making a profit, even though it’s important to have an effective and circular business model too of course. We’re feeling very inspired to have learnt about so many new companies that are 100% going to contribute to a more circular and sustainable society. From hardware innovations like hemp milk and building blocks made from recyled plastic to software innovations like climate tracking, the talent in the room was incredible.

We’re very excited to further develop our pitch for investors in order to find the right fit for all parties! Thank you to STING for this wonderful opportunity!

Photo: We got to listen to a lovely talk from Enerpoly about their journey from idea to two generations of batteries. Their first facility was a small room at Chalmers that required a wall to be knocked down in order for them to get their equipment inside. And today, they’ve just moved into their very own 6500 m2 battery factory. Big Congratulations! Definitely an impressive and very inspiring journey!
