Presenting at the most fun event of the year: Greentime’s Inspirational Day

Sanitation360 at “Greentime’s Inspirationsdag 2025: Inspiring Sustainable Solutions for Events” – which is exactly what the event succeeded with!

On October 22nd, Nicola Parfitt, market developer at Sanitation360, had the honor of participating as a speaker at Greentime’s 7th annual Inspirationsdag in Landskrona—a vibrant conference focused on sustainability at events. The day brought together event organizers, municipalities, and sustainability enthusiasts to explore practical solutions, share knowledge, and celebrate innovative approaches to creating greener events (see program below).

We had the pleasure of presenting the Kissamaja, our unisex urinal solution, to an engaged audience of event and festival organizers, also showing a short video explaining how to use the Kissamaja. I spoke about the importance of urine recycling, our experiences collecting urine at various events, and our ongoing project to create the Low Environmental Impact Fertilizer label for food products grown with circular nutrients, inspired by work done in the RECAPTURE project. It was incredibly rewarding to connect with like-minded professionals passionate about making events more sustainable.

The Inspirationsdag was packed with inspiring presentations from leading Swedish sustainability innovators:

  • Victoria Fagerlind from Dvala Rent & Reprint, shared insights on sustainable clothing solutions for events. However, due to a last minute emergency, Simon himself dressed up as Victoria with both a ballerina skirt and a wig – and delivered an unforgettable presentation about Victoria and Dvala (see photo proof below).

  • Mikael Balázs from Ecofair, introduced environmentally friendly exhibition stands that also improve workplace conditions.

  • Elisabet Lim from Fairtrade, highlighted the impact of choosing Fairtrade-certified products.

  • Daniel Serénus from TCT Produktion, demonstrated circular and low-carbon signage solutions.

  • Maria King from ZeroMission, showcased tools to measure and mitigate climate impact from events.

  • Best practice examples were presented by Peter Lind (Malmö Stad/Malmöfestivalen), Kristin Lundén (Svenska Möten), and Thorsten Karlén (Landskrona Stad).

A huge thank you to Simon Strandvik and the entire Greentime team for organizing and hosting such a memorable day. Simon’s energy and creativity made this the most playful, compassionate, and fun conference I’ve ever attended. From icebreakers where we drew each other while staring into each other’s eyes to making quirky crowd sounds, the atmosphere was immediately welcoming—everyone felt like friends from the start.

The Inspirationsdag reminded us that sustainability is not just about solutions—it’s about community, collaboration, and creativity. We are grateful to have shared our work with such an inspiring group and left motivated by the innovative ideas and passionate conversations throughout the day.

Sanitation360 looks forward to continuing to support circular, sustainable solutions for events and festivals. Together, we can transform the way we manage resources and create truly impactful experiences for people and the planet.
